The "Improved Little Comfort" includes a gear driven crank wheel and features a sloped front edge to the stitch plate to aid cloth feed. In common with Smith & Egge's more basic machines, it boasts an automatic thread tensioner. An alternative version sports a "C" shaped main frame.
