2009 update.

Material for "the book" is now at an advanced stage of preparation. I hope to format page layout over the coming months and anticipate publication in the Spring of 2010.

2008 update.

The planned reference book, which covers 19th century British companies, progresses steadily but pressures of work limit the time available for the task.
The entire content is being researched from contemporary documentation so, as expected, it has proved to be a major undertaking.

Changes are afoot!

After many years of producing this site, we have decided the time is right to reduce our input.

Uppermost in our minds when making this decision was the fact that a small minority continue to misuse material exclusively contained on SMC, consequently spoiling things for the vast majority.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank those who have contributed to the long standing success of the site.

All is not lost…

We hope to keep www.dincum.com online for the foreseeable future, and make modest updates to content periodically.

Lastly, plans are well underway for the production of a reference book, to be published at an appropriate time.
